I know what it feels like to question where you belong or who you truly are — to sense a quiet longing within, without being able to name it. At the age of 25, I made a conscious decision to do whatever it would take to reach a place of comfort, contentment, and authenticity in both who I am and what I do.
What followed has been a deeply meaningful journey.
My path with the CliftonStrengths Assessment® began in 2008 when I completed the online assessment for the first time. It fundamentally shifted how I saw myself and the world around me. I later received informal facilitator training through an accredited StrengthsFinder Coach at our church and went on to complete formal training in 2014 through African Mosaic.
My Enneagram journey started in 2018 when I completed an assessment to support a friend pursuing her Enneagram Practitioner accreditation. I was instantly captivated. That curiosity soon became a calling, and by 2019 I had completed both Level 1 Certification (individuals) and Level 2 Certification (teams) through Integrative9 Enneagram Solutions.
When you commit to a journey like this, you soon realise there is no final destination, only growth, surprises, and unexpected detours. Looking back, I can honestly say that the years since making that commitment have been the most fulfilling and enriching of my life. The impact it has had on my relationships and sense of self has been profound, and it is this transformation that inspired me to dedicate myself to guiding others on their own journeys of self-discovery through personal development workshops.
The story of bläsəm
bläsəm is the phonetic spelling of blossom. The name came to me one evening while reflecting on flowers, something I’ve grown to appreciate deeply through my daughter, who has taught me so much about colour, growth, and life itself. While experimenting with words in Google Translate, I discovered bläsəm, and it immediately resonated with me.
As an Afrikaans speaker, it reminded me of the word asem, meaning breath. I even began pronouncing bläsəm in a similar way. Breath became a powerful metaphor, for life, presence, and becoming.
Through my brand, my hope is that you become more aware of your own breath, how essential it is, and how much life it can bring to yourself and others when you embrace your true self, your full potential, and your unique way of being in the world.
Just breathe.
