I know what it feels like to question where you belong, to sense that something within you is calling for more, even when you can’t quite put it into words. At 25, I made a conscious decision to pursue a life that felt authentic, meaningful, and aligned with who I truly am. I committed to doing the inner work required to find greater comfort, contentment, and clarity in both myself and the path I chose.
That decision became the beginning of a deeply transformative journey.
My introduction to the CliftonStrengths Assessment® in 2008 marked a turning point. Completing the assessment for the first time changed the way I understood myself and how I related to the world around me. What began as personal discovery evolved into deeper learning through facilitator training with an accredited StrengthsFinder Coach, followed by formal certification through African Mosaic in 2014.
In 2018, I was introduced to the Enneagram while supporting a friend on her accreditation journey. I was immediately drawn to its depth and insight. What started as curiosity quickly became purpose, leading me to complete both Level 1 Certification for individuals and Level 2 Certification for business teams through Integrative9 Enneagram Solutions.
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that self-discovery is not a destination, it is an ongoing journey of growth, reflection, and unexpected turns. Looking back, the years since choosing this path have been some of the most fulfilling of my life. The impact on my relationships, self-awareness, and sense of purpose has been profound. It is this transformation that inspires the work I do today: guiding others as they explore their own personal growth and self-discovery.
The Story of bläsəm
bläsəm is the phonetic spelling of blossom — a name that came to me during a quiet moment of reflection on flowers and their symbolism of growth, beauty, and becoming. My daughter, in many ways, inspired this connection, teaching me to notice colour, life, and the small details that often go unseen.
While exploring words through Google Translate, I came across bläsəm, and it immediately felt right. As an Afrikaans speaker, I found the sound reminded me of the word asem, meaning "breath". That connection became deeply meaningful.
Breath represents life, presence, and transformation. It reminds us to pause, to reconnect, and to embrace who we truly are. Through bläsəm, I hope to create a space where people can become more aware of their own inner rhythm — to breathe deeply, live authentically, and grow into their fullest potential.
Just breathe.
